Early 2007 the fertility center Mittelhessen moved to the modern and friendly building in the Sportparkstrasse.

The fertility center in Wetzlar emerged from Prof. Gips’ (1988-2003) Society for Reproductive Medicine and Prof. Tinnenberg’s (2004-2006) Center of In Vitro Fertilization and is the only one of its kind in Mittelhessen.

Our team has extensive experience in dealing with infertility, with over 12.000 treatments for more than 6.000 couples to date.

Under the direction of Dr. Amir Hajimohammad, twenty highly skilled and motivated employees make your wish for a child the center of their daily work.

Public health insurance requires the patient to be examined by an andrologist – Important changes to the “Richtlinien über künstliche Befruchtung” (guidelines for IVF/ICSI)

The changes to the guidelines for IVF/ICSI, effective since 02.07.2017, by the federal committee for doctors and health insurance, now require male partners to be examined by an andrologist in order for the costs of an ICSI treatment to be covered. This additional examination is supposed to rule out further conditions of the male partner that may affect his fertility. If the andrologist’s confirmation is present, further steps for the public health insurances to cover the costs can be taken. If ICSI treatment is already considered due to preliminary results, an andrologist can be consulted prior to visiting us. We gladly support you with information about andrologists in and near Gießen via telephone.
